You've gotta love it when something that you'd thought would be a glorified roadside tulip shop, actually turns out to be the 60th anniversary of the most beautiful horticultural gem, with entertainment, scuplture, nosh... and sunshine, definitely helped that there was sunshine!
Our lovely friend Miss B was in town so I strongly encouraged the troops to drive 50 mins to what I thought would be a little field of tulips - and it was worth every rendition of Katy Perry's Roar we could muster! Welcome to mini-Amsterdam x

The perfect father's day... a drive to the country, a pub lunch then a little picnic on the beach for tea!

Archieeee
We miss this little Sydney-sider and his ma & pa - was great to have them visit Melbs... although the cold wind did nothing to help us encourage them to move here!
It was windy, honestly!
This was an amazing installation at NGV to celebrate Monet's exhibition. Loads of floating bowls in a circular pool with a slightest jet stream, allowing them to just float and clink together. Utterly lovely.
Barbie, Pips and Arch, the other side of NGV entrance.

Coastal Winter
It seems no matter where I am in the world, I love August! I even love writing the word, August!
In the Northern hem, August brings looooong evenings which are like Cornflakes - one forgets how good they are!
In the Southern Hem, it sees winter - and wintertime next to the coast is the very best kind of season.
